Spring into Books
BOOKMARKS is teaming up with The Shepherd’s Center of Greater Winston-Salem
for an evening of fun and a celebration of books!
“Spring into Books” will be held on Wednesday, May 2nd, at the Children’s Museum of Winston-Salem. The event will begin at 6:30pm, and you can register by clicking here.
The program will feature information and a sneak peek at The Shepherd’s Center’s annual Used Book Sale, which will be held at the Education Annex of the Dixie Classic Fairgrounds on May 3-5. The Used Book Sale, which is free and open to the public, will be open 9am-9pm on Thursday and Friday, and 8am-1pm on Saturday.
Student winners of this month’s poetry contest sponsored by the Story Hatchery will read their winning poems as part of the program.
And finally, BOOKMARKS will be unveiling the author lineup for our 8th Annual Festival of Books, which will be held on Saturday, September 8th, in the Downtown Arts District. Attendees will hear about the 40+ confirmed authors for the festival and have a chance to talk with some of them. Every guest will leave with a summer reading list and other goodies.
Attendees will enjoy hors d’oeuvres, wine, and live music from Keith Byrd Trio. Books, tickets to upcoming events, and other prizes will be given away to several lucky winners.
“Spring into Books” is free and open to the public, however space is limited. To register, please click here.
